Second Tuesday
Gatherings
Our flagship event as a collective is our Second Tuesday gathering. We
currently meet each month, except for June, July and December, at Dunwoody Community Church. Each gathering consists of kingdom-minded prayer, peer coaching with a focus on equipping in-process planters, fellowship over a shared meal, and training.

Our May Speaker
Alex Harris
After growing up in West Africa, Alex met Jesus while serving in the military and studying at University in the UK. After time in America, he was an evangelist for Christians in Sport. This was initially amongst university students in the UK, but ultimately across Asia. After 5 years in China, Alex helped initiated a new church on the edge of London, before leading Beacon Church in Stafford for a decade, which both grew and evolved into a scattered approach, growing to numerous expressions. He has been directly involved in planting 14 new churches and launching two micro church networks.
Alongside being Director of St Hild Centre for Church Planting - which seeks to equip new leaders in new ways to start new churches - Alex is Yorkshire Baptist Association Regional Minister for Pioneering and Church Planting. He is specifically responsible for empowering church creation and innovation in gospel-planting. He co-leads the Firestarters Network of growing churches helping churches to grow. Alex acts as convener for the National Church Planting Network uniting denominations, networks, and streams in a collaborative desire to reach England together through planting new churches. As a family, they have planted the Lydia House church network from the centre of Leeds, the UK's fourth largest city.
Alex has a BSc (2000), a BTh (2011) and MA (2012). In 2024 he completed a DMin from Asbury Seminary, USA. His doctorate studies are in ‘Church Planting in post-Christendom Europe’.
Alex has co-authored a number of books including On this Rock: Simple Lessons and Achievable Habits for Church Growth (2023), and Scattered not Small: Empowering Ordinary Churches to Become Disciple-Making Communities (2024). In 2026 he'll publish an accessible book exploring the future of new churches and Christian communities in Europe based on his doctorate thesis.
Alex loves being an 'evangelist', missional entrepreneurship, being with people, and remaining a local church practitioner - and with four teenagers is forced to still believe he has a future as a professional sports person!
